The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM) is a premier autonomous institution under the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. NIPHM promotes sustainable plant health practices tailored to India’s diverse agro-climatic zones.

Emphasizing the Agro-Ecosystem Analysis (AESA)-based approach, integrated with Ecological Engineering, NIPHM’s capacity-building initiatives support policy, training, and global outreach. Key offerings include:

Curriculum Structure

Practical Exposure

At NIPHM, we believe that hands-on experience is integral to meaningful learning. Our training programs are designed to offer extensive practical exposure through field visits, laboratory work, real-time demonstrations, and hands-on sessions with experts.

Industry Visits

Students will have the opportunity to participate in industry visits, providing them with practical exposure and real-world insights into plant health management practices.

Field Visits

The institute is situated on 15 acres of agricultural land leased by state Agricultural University, of which 7 acres are used for conducting Adaptive Research, trials, and field demonstrations.

Computer Lab

The Institute has a Computer Centre with internet facility, accessible to trainees during the program and also available in the hostel.
